Last Saturday, November 25, 2023, our Women's Varsity Cross Country team and Sam Nealon, who ran as an individual qualifier, participated in the CIF Cross Country State Championships. It was filled with fierce competition and remarkable performances. We are thrilled to share the outstanding achievements of both our Women's Varsity team and Sam Nealon.
The Women's Varsity team placed 18th in their division for the state. Led by Elise Henderson, the team's top runner, their performance was nothing short of extraordinary. Elise Henderson pushed herselfto the limit placing an impressive 56th place as an individual and secured crucial points for our team.
Our very own Sam Nealon demonstrated his exceptional talent and determination. Competing as an individual qualifier, Sam blazed through the course, crossing the finish line in an astonishing time of 16:13. Sam's remarkable achievement, placing him 35th as an individual, is a testament to his grit and tenacity.
We couldn't be prouder of our Women's Varsity team and Sam Nealon for their outstanding performances at the Cross Country CIF State Championships. Their hard work and passion for the sport have truly paid off.
