Over spring break the Falcons played 6 games which included their senior night and a tournament. On Monday of the second week of spring break the Falcons played their senior night game against the Capital Christian Cougars. The Falcons dominated the first 2 sets of the game, but because of errors the Falcons let the Cougars creep in during the 3rd set. The set ended 29-27 as the Falcons were able to gather themselves and win the match 3-0. 2 days after senior night the Falcons played the Rio Americano Raiders at Rio Americano High School. Besides the 2nd set, the Falcons were able to rally and give the Raiders a run for their money in the 1st and 3rd set, but they were unable to finish strong in both of those sets which led to the Falcons losing the match 0-3. After 2 days of practice the Falcons headed to the Granite Bay tounament to play in their second tournament of the year last Saturday. The Falcons had 2 pool play games against the Elk Grove Thundering Herd and the Clovis Cougars to start their day. The Falcons games against the Thundering Herd was a close one, but the Falcons were unable to win the match as it ended 0-2. The Falcons played the 12th nationally ranked Clovis Cougars next and lost the match 0-2. After going 0-2 in pool play the Falcons played the Oakmont Vikings. The Falcons took the first set but were unable to take the other 2 sets due to multiple errors as they took their 3rd loss of the day at 1-2. After reffing, the Falcons played their last game of the day against the West Campus Warriors. The Falcons were able to sweep the warriors 2-0 ending their day off on a good note. The Falcons had a 2-4 record over the week and while they did not have the best week, they are in for playoffs and play Jesuit tonight at 6pm. Come out to support your Falcons!
