River City Tournament
- Game 1 vs McClatchy: The team cam out with some energy and excitement for their 1st tournament match. It was a very physical match, with both teams wanting the win badly. CB jumped on the scoreboard first, but McClatchy answered back quickly in the 1st half. The Falcons were able to secure the win with a late goal to defeat the Lions 2-1.
- Game 2 vs Monterey Trail: The Falcons dominated this game from start to finish. However, a mistake allowed the opponents to tie the score at 1 apiece early in the second half. However, Collin Ross sealed the win with a late goal to keep the Falcons undefeated in the tournament.
- Game 3 vs Rodriguez: Day 2 of the tournament saw the Falcons continue to improve their play and earn a decisive win 2-0 and advance to the tournament Championship later in the day.
- Game 4 vs Folsom (Championship Game): What an exciting game this was! CB came into this game knowing that they were facing one of the best teams in the area. The CB boys were not intimidated and rose to the occasion. The game remained scoreless until the final 2 minutes of the game, when Aiden Carroll found Jace Arnaudo for a counter-attack. Jace was alone, facing 2 defenders, yet he was able to split the defenders and place a perfect shot into the top corner of the net and give the Falcons the tournament championship. It was a great weekend for the CB Soccer team and has provided some ealy confidence and excitement for the team.
Alumni Game: On December 23rd, the Falcons hosted the annual CB Soccer Alumni game. It was another great event, bringing back Falcons of the past to participate in a friendly game with the current edition of the CB Soccer teams.
Upcoming: League-play begins on Tuesday at Del Campo, followed by a non-league home contest against Laguna Creek on Thursday. Come out and support your CB Soccer teams as they work toward a CAL championship!
