Following an impressive 26-6 victory against Reno, the Christian Brothers Falcons landed at Pleasant Grove to take on the Eagles under the lights. Unfortunately for the Falcons, they took the loss 35-36. To start off the game, Junior Ezekiel Castex ran the ball 26 yards running right through the Eagles defense for six. Giving the Falcons the lead to start the game. The very next drive where the Eagles had the ball, they ran a double toss trick play, which fooled the Falcons and ended with an Eagles touchdown. However, Senior William Littlejohn '24 and Ezekiel Castex '25 were absolutely unstoppable in the run game. as they both ran for a combined 317 yards. However, the Falcons special teams struggled greatly, giving the Eagles the ball in the red zone 3 times leading to multiple touchdowns for the Eagles. Adding on to the struggles for the Falcons they had over 150 yards of questionable penalties which made the game extremely close. After the Eagles made an incredibly long 47 yard field goal to take the lead late the Falcons had the ball with 52 seconds left and no timeouts. Senior William LittleJohn led an incredible drive down the field to the 17 yard line. With seconds left on the clock the falcons attempted a field goal to win. Unfortunately for the Falcons the Eagles got through to block the kick and win the game. This was the toughest game for the Falcons so far, but they hope to gain momentum next game against Rodriguez to bring into the rest of the season.
