Last Saturday, our high school's cross country team ran at the San Joaquin Section meet. Our athletes pushed their limits, leaving an incredible mark on the course. Let's delve into the highlights of this remarkable journey.
Women's Varsity Team: Our women's varsity team showcased their exceptional tenacity, clinching second place in the meet. Led by an outstanding performance from Elise Henderson, who secured an impressive 7th place in the race, the team's collective effort propelled them to this well-deserved victory. Their commendable achievement has earned them a ticket to the upcoming state meet in Fresno.
Men's Varsity Team: The men's varsity team narrowly missed out on qualifying for the state meet as a team placing fifth in the meet. However, our exceptional top runner, Sam Nealon, secured an individual qualification for the state meet by placing 6th as an individual. Sam's dedication and skill have rightfully earned him a spot to compete amongst the state's top runners. Jackson Levasseur, an impecable sophmore runner, also displayed his passion and exceptional perseverance in the race placing 9th overall as an individual.
Freshmen Boys: Ending their season on a high note, our freshmen boys' team delivered an exceptional performance, securing an impressive second place in the meet. Their remarkable teamwork and unwavering spirit throughout the season have set a solid foundation for their future accomplishments.
Frosh/Soph Girls: Our frosh/soph girls' team placed third in the meet showing their excellence and team spirit in every stride they took.
Sophomore Boys: The sophomore boys' team placed second place in the meet. Leading the charge was Finn Rigby, a remarkable sophomore runner who crossed the finish line in second place as an individual.
The San Joaquin Section meet was a remarkable journey for our high school's cross country team.
