On Friday night the Falcons traveled from Christian Brothers to play against the El Camino Eagles. This game was special for the Falcons as they were playing a former teammate who transferred to El Camino this year. In the 1st quarter the Falcons committed a lot of fouls, but that didn’t stop them from winning the quarter with a score of 11-8. The Falcons started and ended the 2nd quarter with good shots while they continued to play great defense, holding the Eagles to 4 points as the quarter ended 27-12 Falcons. In the 3rd quarter the Eagles made a good run off of careless turnovers by the Falcons, but the Falcon's offense kept their lead at 37-29 going into the 4th. Because the Falcons came out uncharacteristically slow at halftime, the 4th quarter came down to the last seconds as the Falcons were up 43-42 with 10 seconds left. Coming down the court were the Eagles as they hit a last second 3 point shot to win the game 45-43 in jaw-dropping fashion. The 3 top scorers for the Falcons were Kamari Simpson 24’ with 15 points, Stephan Hewitt 25’ with 10 points, and Shawn Underwood 25’ with 8 points. After a tough loss to the Eagles, the Falcons are even at 11-11 and play their next game at home on Tuesday night against the Sacramento High Dragons. We wish the Falcons good luck!
