The Lady Falcons lacrosse team took on the Vista Del Lago Eagles on Tuesday for their first home game of the season. The team fought hard throughout the entire game, however the game unfortunately ended with a close score of 15-10. The ladies dropped to 0-1 in league play and an overall record of 1-3.
Lily Witry ‘20 accounted for half of the Falcons goal tally on the evening, putting 5 in the back of the net with the help of Ashlinn Phipps ‘19 who finished two more. The rest of the team contributed to the game with a few more goals and strong defense against the Eagles.
“I think the game went well,” Phipps said. “I thought we had a lot of good transitions in the midfield and some really nice passes to shots on goal. I think we could improve on being more vocal on offense and defense and letting each other know where the cutters are”.
The Falcons have their second league game this coming Friday against Bella Vista High School. The team’s second home game of the season hopefully will put another win on the record. Come support the Ladies at 4:15 PM at CB as they put up a tough game against the Broncos.
