On Saturday night both Jesuit and Christian Brothers fans packed into Jesuit’s gymnasium to see their Marauders and Falcons play in a sold out Holy Hoops classic. In the 1st quarter the Marauders jumped out to a quick 27-4 lead against the Falcons who were outpaced by Jesuit’s fast offense. The Falcons gained their composure in the 2nd quarter, slowing the Marauders down and finding a rhythm in their own offense, but the Falcons were still losing 41-22. Coming out of halftime, both teams were scoring in the 3rd, but the Marauders had all the momentum coming out of the quarter as they were still winning with a score of 60-37. Although the Falcons competed and won the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters of the game, they were unable to overcome the 23 point deficit the Marauders created in the 1st quarter. This was a fun game to watch filled with exciting plays and awesome reactions from the fans, but the Marauders bested the Falcons in this one as the final score was 74-57. The Falcons are now 10-7 on the season and look to fare well against the Sacramento High Dragons on Wednesday night. The Game is at 7:30pm at Sacramento High School. Good luck to our Falcons!
