During winter break the Falcons played the Laguna Creek Cardinals from Elk Grove at home. In the 1st quarter the Falcons scored first and made some tough shots, but turnovers from bad passes and steals led to the Cardinals scoring multiple points and going up 18-12. Both teams struggled to make their shots in the second quarter, but towards the end the Cardinals doubled the gap making the score 33-21. From the Cardinals turnovers and missed shots the Falcons went on a scoring run, but the Falcons were still not able to catch up as they were losing 47-38 in the 3rd. Missed offensive rebounds and turnovers hurt the Falcons as they were never able to take a solid lead as the Cardinals took the win with a score of 60-49. The Falcons have a 10-5 record after their preseason and start league next year on January 4 against the Sacramento High School Dragons. Good Luck Falcons!
