On Friday night the Falcons traveled to Rio Americano to try and win the second battle against the Raiders. The game atmosphere was set with a rowdy student section that was rocking the entire game. In the 1st quarter the Falcons and Raiders facilitated the ball well and made some good shots, but the Raiders had the lead 17-15. In the 2nd the Falcons got beat down low and fell behind the stampeding Raiders who were hitting shots against the Falcons 36-25. The 3rd quarter started off a bit slow, but the Falcons had an even bout against the Raiders as they both scored the same amount, but the Falcons were still down 51-39. The Falcons went on a run in the 4th quarter trying to fight back in this game, but it was too late as they lost to the Raiders 72-61 as the Raider offense couldn’t be stopped. Some of the best performers in the game for the Falcons were Shawn Underwood 25’ and Stephan Hewitt 25’. The Falcons next game is in the next month of February on the 3rd against the Vista Del Lago Eagles. The Falcons have a week to prepare from their last game and will surely use this practice time to prepare to try and beat the Eagles who won their first matchup. The game is 7:30 PM at Vista Del Lago, so make sure to cheer on your Falcons!
