On Wednesday night The Falcons traveled to play their crosstown rivals, the Sacramento High Dragons. The Falcons were up to pace with the fast Dragons in the first as they were up 17-16 Falcons. While the Dragons were making good plays and trying to create some separation, the Falcons kept it close as the score was 40-39 Dragons going into halftime. In the 3rd quarter, every time the Falcons scored the Dragons scored and vice versa, leading this game to be very close going into the 4th with the Dragons still up at 62-58. This was a very physical game that came down to the 4th quarter, but turnovers and being unable to get the offense started in the last minutes was the reason the Falcons lost a winnable game 75-68. The Falcons are now 10-8 and look to win their first game in the new year against another tough opponent in Vista Del Lago this Friday. The game is 7:30pm at Christian Brothers so make sure to come out and support your Falcons!
