After a 6 day break, the Falcons travel to Stockton to take on the St. Mary’s Rams. After the Rams scored 4 points in the span of 15 seconds to start the game, the Falcons responded by putting up some buckets of their own, but it wasn’t enough to win the 1st quarter as it concluded 13-16 Rams. Both teams did everything they needed to do as shots were being made and defense was being played to end the second quarter in a tie at 29-29. Out of halftime the Falcons were hitting their shots and playing great defense only holding the Rams to 2 points as the 3rd quarter ended 45-31 Falcons. As the 4th quarter started Coach J urged the Falcons to take deep breaths as the Rams started to pick up their defense, and thanks to multiple clutch shots from the foul line the Falcons were able to close out the game as the Rams tried to come charging back with a final score of 58-52. This was a great win for the Falcons as they got payback from the last time they played the Rams 2 weeks ago in the Bill Cartwright tournament. Coach J said leading up to and after the game for his team to “shock the city”, and beating the #7 team in the 49ers Sac-Hi Sports rankings did just that! The Falcons are 6-2 and play the Roseville Tigers on Thursday in the Les Curry Tournament at Davis High School. Good luck Falcons!
