The Women's Varsity soccer team looking to stay hot had an away game last Thursday vs. the Del Campo Cougars. The last matchup between the two teams resulted in a close 1-0 win for the Falcons, so they knew going into this rematch they would need to bring the intensity. First half produced a barrage of shots and the Falcons were able to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. The Lady Falcons, motivated by Coach Rudy Ruvalcaba's halftime speech came out in the 2nd half on fire, scoring 5 goals and finishing with a decisive 7-0 victory. Goals were scored by Devin Greer (24') who netted her league leading 16th and 17th goals of the season, Genevieve Muskopf (24'), Bailey Rakela (25'), Lily Jensen (23'), and two for Grace Clote (22'). Defensive line led by Brooklyn Horst (23') and the mids led by Elizabeth Ledesma (23') played outstanding with another shutout, keeping Del Campo out of the backfield most of the night. Your 11-1-3 Falcons have two big games this week, an away league game vs. Vista Del Lago this Thursday and Holy Cup rival game on Friday vs. St. Francis.
