This Saturday, men's and women's varsity Cross Country teams will lace up their running shoes to compete for a chance to qualify for the state championships at our sections meet. Led by Coach Danny Delgado, the men's Cross Country team has been training relentlessly for this moment. The team's top runner, Sam Nealon, has consistently demonstrated his prowess on the Willow Hills Course by regularly finishing in the top 5 of previous meets. Alongside him, the team boasts a roster of talented runners including, Preston Rabey and Jackson Levasseur, who have all showcased their abilities to secure crucial points for their team. The women's varsity team have also shown tremendous growth and determination this season. As they gear up for the sections meet, they are eager and optimistic in their prospect of making states. Leading the pack, Elise Henderson will play a significant role in helping the team place high in sections and make it to states. Alongside her, her teammates Eyvonne Nguyen and Paige Rupert will both prove themselves in this competitive meet. With the team's collective strength, the women's team will give their competitors a run for their money.
The Folsom Highschool Willow Hills Course is notorious for its challenging terrain and will push our athletes to their limits, but both of our teams are well prepared, and ready to give it their all to qualify and make states. So Goodluck to all of our runners, and may we wish them the best for their meet this weekend!
