The men’s and women’s cross country teams had meets this past weekend at the Wildfire Invitational. The women’s varsity won their meet, coming in 1st out of 7 teams. Alicia Romani ‘23 was the team’s top runner, winning the meet overall. Jenna Martinez ‘22 (7th) and Michele Ratliff ‘22 (8th) also placed in the top 10 out of 64 runners. The women’s freshman team finished 2nd overall out of 5 teams. Abigail Madrigal ‘23 won the meet outright. The men’s varsity team finished 2nd out of 9 teams. Ryan Dong ‘22 led way, finishing 2nd overall out of 82 runners. Jacob Schnetz ‘21 and Hunter Rojas ‘20 also finished in the top 10. The men’s freshman team finished 2nd out of 11 teams. Joaquin Hernandez ‘23 won the meet.
The cross country teams looks to keep their momentum going when they run at the Clovis Invitational at Woodward Park next Saturday, October 12th.
