The woman's volleyball team played their toughest league game at home yesterday against Rio. The Falcons had a slow start the the match and the Raiders were showing their determination and pulled off the set win (15-25). In the second set, the Falcons put up a good fight but fell short to the Raiders and kept the score close:(18-25). The falcons were able to push and stay disciplined in the third set and pulled off the third set win (25-20). Looking the close out the match, the Raiders came into the fourth set with the energy that they needed and created a point gap of (17-22). But the falcons were not giving up that easily, and their defense was able to protect Lily Perez's serving run to push for the lead (23-22). After this the points went back and forth and CB was able to get the fourth set win with a score of (26-24). In the final set, the Falcons's back row and front row were able to stay calm in the high pressure situation and push to get the close fifth set win with a score of (15-9). The Falcons will have another home game tonight against West Park at 6:30, and hope to continue their winning streak. GO FALCONS!!!!!
