This past Wednesday, the Lady Falcons took on the Davis High School Blue Devils at a home game, playing an aggressive game, but unfortunately not pulling through with a win for the team. Sydney Obmann ‘20 lead the team with 3 goals with the help of Ari Castillo ‘19 and Lily Witry ‘20 scored two goals, each in the back of the net. Obmann and Witry both had an assist to two goals on the goalie, attempting to even out the score. The team played strong throughout the game but couldn’t catch up to Davis, ending with the score of 23-8.
“We walked in a little scattered because we didn’t have practice the day before, but we were able to keep ourselves in it for the first half,” said Alyce Munoz ‘19. Munoz goes on to say “Regardless of the score, we still kept our heads up and were able to laugh it off in the end. Now we’re just working really hard and preparing for our SF game on Friday.”
The Falcons take on their biggest game of the year this Friday at Mather Sports Complex against Saint Francis. The team will need everyone's support at 4:30 to play against the Troubadours. Hopefully the ladies can compete for a win to better improve their record.
Saint Francis’s current record at 8-1 intimidates the Falcons. The team is preparing to walk out on the field with confidence, and whether they will win or lose, they will play their absolute hardest.
