You may not have heard much of them, but the fierce Lady Falcons tennis team have made a name for themselves in recent years. Last year the team had a good year finishing with a 7-4 league record and made it to playoffs. Despite not having seniors and with the leadership of junior captains, Sydney Obmann 20’, Kennedy Gudmann 20’, and Lily Witry 20’, the young team defied all odds and went the farthest they have in years. Sadly, the team lost in the first round of playoffs 4-5, but are now ready to redeem themselves, maybe as far as a section title.
This year, the team is expected to be a strong competitor in league with all experienced varsity players making a return. As the team gears up for the season they anticipate big contributions from rising juniors, as they received last year. The team seems to be off to a good start, winning their scrimmage against JFK High School with ease this past friday.
The teams end goal this year is to surpass their success from the previous season. In their eyes playoffs was good, however they're hungry and ready to rise to the challenge again. This is the year that CB hopes to make a big name for themselves, as everyone is looking towards the Lady Falcons for another exciting season.
