The womens soccer team gets their three-peat so to speak as they win the Capital Athletic Legue, the Sac-Joaquin Sections, and The CIF Northern California regional championship, all in one season. They started their quest by finishing with a 7-1-2 record in league, scoring an impressive 80 goals while only conceeding 13. They aquired their legue title and set their sights on the San Joaquin Sections. They made their way to the section final, playing agasit their legue rivals Vista Del Lago who they had beat once and lost to once. The team prepared well for the game and senior Caitlynn Drew scored the goal to give the team the Sac-Joaquin Section Title. Now the ladies looked to the highest title they could achieve, NorCal D3 Champs. They won their next games and made their way to the final after an intense pk shootout ending in a 10-9 win for the Falcons in the semi-final. In their final game, Cardinal Newman scored in under 10 minutes in the first half, putting the Falcons to rest for the first half. But the ladies would not be disuaded and they came back with senior Brooklyn Horst rifeling a volley from the top of the box into the upper v with twenty minutes left in the game. The game would end with a nail biting tie, sending the Falcons to their second straight penalty kickoff. Their experiance was quickly evident as the Falcons put away all five of their penalties, with Brooklyn Horst, Sarah Pritchard, Kamryn Lee, Rachel Davis, and Lily Jensen being the five selected to make the shots. Senior keeper Grace Bettencourt saved the Cardinal's thrid PK attempt with an acrobatic dive to her right, which allowed the Lady Falcons to win in PK's by 5-4. This was the highest possible title the Christian Brother's Women's Varsity could win. After a long and gueling season, congratulations to your Norcal D3 Champions, the Christian Brothers Falcons! This has been a long time coming for these athletes and it is a well deserved title for a program on the come up. They finished the season with an astounding record of 20-4-3.
