The 2018 season is Mike’s first as Head Freshman Football Coach at CB. Prior to this, he coached youth football for nearly 10 years, most notably as a head coach and co-founder of the CB Junior Falcons youth tackle football program, which began in 2012. He also spent three years coaching linebackers at American River College immediately after graduating from Sacramento State.
Mike’s own playing career began in youth football at age 10 and ended at Sacramento State where he played outside linebacker. He grew up in Cupertino, CA, but has lived in Sacramento since attending Sacramento State. Mike currently works in sales for a small biotechnology company that manufactures a drug to treat kidney cancer.
Mike and his wife, Julie, have three sons, Matt ’17, John ’22 and Eric ’22. Their whole family has been very involved with CB Athletics – at both the high school and junior levels – for many years and looks forward to many more.
