The Falcons went into last night’s game at the top of the league and needed a win to stay there.
They faced an El Camino team with a lot of passion. The Falcons were overwhelmed in the first
few minutes and ended up falling behind 1-0. Minutes later, Nick Hanna ’21 scored a header off
of a cross. The El Camino crowd rallied their troops and managed to obtain a penalty. They
slotted away the penalty for a 2-1 lead. This lead carried into the half. The Falcons knew what
was at stake and came out of the half dominant. They were controlling the ball and attacking
with everything they had. They threw everything at the goal, but nothing seemed to go their way.
Both teams fought extremely hard, but it was not the Falcons night and the game ended 2-1.
With the lose, they drop to second place behind Rio. They are still in playoff contention and are
looking ahead at next week’s games.
