The men’s and women’s cross country teams had meets on Saturday at The Capital Cross Challenge.
The varsity men’s team finished 14th out of 40 teams, led by junior runner Jacob Schentz ‘21. Schentz finished 43rd out of 353 varsity boys runners. The JV Boys team finished 4th out of 17 teams, led by freshman Bradley Bertossa ‘23 with a time of 11:42. Bertossa finished 17th out of 167 JV runners.
On the girls side, the Varsity girls team finished 19th out of 36 teams. Alicia Romani ‘23 was their top runner who had a time of 19:58. She finished 22nd out of 298 runners. The JV girls team finished 5th out of 9 teams.
The cross country team will look to improve on their results next weekend at the Wildfire Invitational at Foresthill High School. The meet will take place in Foresthill, California.
