Dive
The dive team had their last dual meet against Rio yesterday. It was fun to have the swim team there with us to cheer on their divers. Our team was led by Simone Gandy ’21 at this meet. We also had Lily Ruyak ’22 and Melody Lednicky ‘22 perform to their personal best. We will all participate in an Invitational on Saturday which will help prepare the divers for league next week. All of the dual meets required 6 dives, but from here on to Sections the team will have to perform 11 dives. Championships, here we come!

Varsity Baseball
CB Falcons has no scheduled league games with week, as it is a bye-week. The team does travel down to Stockton to face the hard charging Bear Creek Bruins on Saturday for a non-conference game.
CB resumes league play again next week facing the El Camino Eagles.
Women’s Lacrosse
Varsity fought against a skilled Davis team but lost 8-23. Goals by Ari Castillo, Ashlinn Phipps, Sydney Obmann. Megan Cann continues to improve and hustle on the draws. Katie Gergen and Elizabeth Cotillo slide hard on the ball and speedily picked up ground balls. Holy Sticks is Friday afternoon, come support!
Women’s JV Lacrosse
JV came really close to beat Davis in a back and forth game 13-16. Tessa Easterling saved shot after shot in goal. Numerous goals were scored by Elise Newton, Jaden Herne, and Ava Dominguez. They are looking to beat Saint Francis again Friday in Holy Sticks
Men’s Lacrosse
Men’s lacrosse started the week with a rematch against Davis High School. While the season opener against Davis was a shutout in favor of Davis, the Falcons showed how much they have improved since the beginning of the year. While Davis won the game 8-3, the Falcons were in it right up until the end. It was a strong performance against a well-established Davis program. Kelliah Tarver scored his fifth goal of the season while Sam Ketcher added goals six and seven to his totals. The team rounds out the week by traveling to Lincoln of Stockton on Friday. The Falcons fell to Lincoln 10-9 earlier in the season, and have high hopes of bringing home a victory Friday evening.
JV Softball
March 29 – Our Lady Falcons visited Rio Americano for a league matchup. CB was able to get an early 2-0 lead scoring both runs in the 2nd inning, but the momentum could not hold with Rio scoring 6 runs in the 3rd. Anjalina Dahdouh ’22, Jenna Puumala ’22, Kylie Nelson ’22, and Abigail Kauss ’20 (double) each collected two hits. The team managed to outhit their opponent tallying 13 hits on the day. Ultimately, the defense could not make enough plays to pull out a win. In the 8-4 loss, starting pitcher Dahdouh ’22 added 13 more strikeouts to her total. Record: 4-6 League 1-1
April 1 - The Lady Falcons had a home league game vs Del Campo. The visiting team jumped on our team early and it was too much to overcome. In the high scoring 18-6 loss, CB did manage to collect 9 hits of their own. Hitting highlights were Anjalina Dahdouh ’22 went 2x2 scoring 2 runs and Kylie Nelson ’22 was 2x3, both going deep for homeruns. Nelson ’22 also added a double and 4 RBIs for the day. Men’s Tennis
We have inched closer to our first sectional playoff in years with a 1-1 week. We started the week with a difficult match against Vista Del Lago in a match that seemed like it was over too quickly. Then we bounced back with an 8-1 win vs. El Camino moving the team to 5-3 in league and putting us on the brink of the sectional playoffs. Chris Fong '20 won (6-1, 6-0) against Steven Tyler of El Camino in a lopsided affair that showed how well Chris is playing. Last year Chris had two tight matches against him and this year he is dominating. Then at #2 Anthony Tan Andia '21 returned to form with a (6-1, 6-1) win, followed by Alex Stone '21, a (6-0, 6-2) winner. Then Kai Hay '20, Ryan Price '21 and Sean Johnson '22 all won in straight sets to push the match to 6-0, deciding the match before the doubles started. As usual seniors Brandon Luong '19, and Andres Yalan won at #1 doubles, (6-3, 6-3). Finally, Cristian Gordon '22, teamed with Noah Opada '19, to finish the dual match by winning (6-0, 7-5). On the immediate horizon is a match against Del Campo on Tuesday, a team we beat 9-0 two weeks ago. If we win, we move on!
Boys Varsity Volleyball
Volleyball took on Capital Christian to continue league action this week. After dropping a tough first set, the falcons bounced back closing out the match in four (3-1). Junior Liam Rapp ‘20 took on the challenge of a front row position and never looked back, earning 9 kills for his team that night. The falcons returned home on Wednesday to play Rio Americano. Although they put up a strong battle, including pushing an 18-24 deficit to 26-28, the falcons couldn’t beat the raiders, losing in four sets (1-3). They take on Kennedy tonight at home.
Boys JV Volleyball
Jv Boys Volleyball had a nail biting game against Rio on Wednesday taking the match in two 28-26 and 28-26. We are looking forward to our match tonight against Kennedy and then our tournament at Granite Bay on Saturday. Go Falcons!
Men’s JV Golf
The JV Boys team had two matches this week at Davis on Monday and against Vista Del Lago at home at Bing Maloney. The team lost to a very strong Davis team 206 to 252 on Monday. The team had problems driving and couldn't seem to find the fairway on Monday. Despite our troubles, Greg Stone, Sophomore, 2021, played really well with the only score in the 40s. On Wednesday, the team snapped back with their best performance of the year with all six inn the 40s beating Vista Del Lago, 226 to 247. Freshmen Matt Horan and Matt Lynn ‘22, led the way with a 43 and 44, with Joseph Solari, 2021, shooting a 45 and Kyle Krause ‘22, a 46.
